Real Needs

There is no clear plan… to cure homelessness and may never be. But we are not asked to look at our success rate for a cure, but rather we are to work towards learning how to love unconditionally.

T.H.O.R.N. Ministries |  Tampa Non Profit | Homeless Food Clothing Provider

Spiritually inspired humanitarian outreach that reaches out to the most vulnerable of society. Our focus is to teach compassionate giving through a mobile feeding outreach in Tampa, Florida and

medical/spiritual outreach on the island of Western Samoa.

The Heart of Tampa Project has been in operation since 1997. WE serve 1000 homeless weekly. We are 100% volunteer based. We encourage community service and offer unlimited opportunities to youth and those who need c.s.o for scholarships, court or foodstamps.

Operation THORN Samoa was launched in 1995. We have focussed mainly on the special needs of the disabled, elderly and have sent 16 containers of medical supplies since 1995.

Plans are to formally open the House of Mercy in 2010 to care for severely disabled children and to teach the parents how to care for these infants prior to them being sent back to the village.

Spiritually, we offer retreats, missions, FIRE rallies and spiritual dance competitions

to encourage participation in our outreach programs.

Youth within the US are invited to participate in our Samoan outreach and homeless outreach by becoming a volunteer.
